Hey there, Bayoses here. As you can see above, this is an OOC topic for Fairy Tale Mysteries, my RP. It's my first RP I have ever done on here, so please bare with me if I'm being horrible at this. Anyway, I stated in the intro of the RP that this can be a place for members of the RP to post ideas, opinions, comments, or just goof around! So yeah, go right on ahead!

Hey, I've submitted Cindy but you don't have to treat her special just because she happens to be a princess. she won't take any of that. For some cases how about Hansel and Gretel's witch case (why the parents are selling their kids to the witch and what does the witch does to these children- maybe something like a slavery- sweat shop kind of thing where she forces them to make sweets for her), Rapunzel and why she's lost (maybe the witch was in fact Rapunzel's father had once had a secret relationship with the witch and is kidnapping Rapunzel for revenge), Goldilocks breaking in houses (Goldilocks is in fact breaking in houses and is a big robber on the loose), Big Bad Wolf and his antics (destroying houses in 3 little pigs and pretending to be someone in Red Riding Hood). Etc. Just some ideas :)

Warren Buffett: New Orleans Times-Picayune's New Publication Schedule Is 'Simply Unsustainable'

OMAHA, Neb. -- Billionaire Warren Buffett is questioning the wisdom of changes the New Orleans Times-Picayune newspaper plans to make this fall.

Last week the Times-Picayune and three major Alabama dailies owned by the Newhouse family's Advance Publications announced plans to cut back to three printed issues a week. The newspapers will shift their focus to online news.

Buffett, whose Berkshire Hathaway just bought 63 newspapers from Media General for $142 million, said he was surprised by the New Orleans announcement.

"It seems to me that three days a week is simply unsustainable over the longer term. Either a publication is a newspaper or a periodical and I think three days a week crosses the line," Buffett said in his letter.

Buffett said he's puzzled about why the economics of publishing the Times-Picayune seven days a week don't make sense, because he thought the newspaper had a high penetration rate in New Orleans ? a strongly defined community.

New Orleans musician Evan Christopher says Buffett's reaction is in response to an open letter he wrote to Buffett about the changes at the Times-Picayune. Advance Publications plans to make similar changes at The Birmingham News, the Press-Register in Mobile and The Huntsville Times.

In recent years newspapers have struggled to make up for sharp declines in print advertising revenue with online advertising at a time when printing costs have been rising.

Buffett has recommended that newspapers charge for access to their stories online, so they won't be giving away their product. Advance plans to continue offering free access to its papers' news.

Buffett told Berkshire's newspaper editors last week that he believes newspapers will do well if they remain the primary source of information about their community and charge for online news.

"It's your job to make your paper indispensable to anyone who cares about what is going on in your city or town," he said.

Buffett didn't say whether Berkshire would have any interest in buying the Times-Picayune, but he noted that the newspaper's owners don't have a history of selling papers. Buffett said someone in the New Orleans community should explore whether Newhouse would sell to a local group.

Buffett has said that Berkshire may buy additional newspapers, and he favors small to mid-sized newspapers in cities with a strong sense of community. He turned down the opportunity to buy the Tampa Tribune as part of the Media General deal.

Berkshire's other newspapers include the Omaha World-Herald Co. and the Buffalo News.

Besides newspapers, the company Buffett leads owns more than 80 subsidiaries including insurance, furniture, clothing, jewelry and candy companies, restaurants and natural gas and corporate jet firms. Berkshire also has major investments in companies like Coca-Cola Co., IBM, Washington Post Co. and Wells Fargo & Co.

Manager Finance Training & Development - ASTD

As the Manager, Finance Training and Development, you will help design, develop and deliver technical finance trainings and resources for Stryker global finance and accounting staff. You will aid in building innovative training strategies that will be deployed via a blend of classroom training, virtual training and just-in-time, on-demand video training.

In the first 30 to 90 days, you will evaluate our current programs and help us execute on our goals for the year. This will include delivery of existing classroom and virtual training materials, partnering with subject matter experts (SME?s) to develop new training materials and the continued expansion of our HowTube video training and knowledge sharing platform. You will also establish a formal needs assessment process to identify and prioritize global finance training needs along with a formal quarterly content review process for the HowTube platform. Wagle, fighting cancer again, files for re-election | Wichita Eagle

State Sen. Susan Wagle filed for re-election Friday in Topeka, moments after revealing to her colleagues that she will be undergoing four months of chemotherapy in her years-long battle with cancer.

Wagle, R-Wichita, announced her illness to the Senate in a floor speech at the end of the annual legislative session. Within minutes after the session was gaveled to a close, she walked across the street to the secretary of state?s office to file her papers to run for re-election.

?Serving in this body is one of the greatest privileges I, or any Kansan, can ever have,? she told the Senate. ?I am truly humbled by the faith and trust that my constituents have placed in me. I look forward to asking voters in my district to allow me to continue serving them as their voice in this chamber.?

Wagle said she?s begun receiving chemotherapy for a strain of non-Hodgkins lymphoma that is a different cell type than the lymphoma she has battled in the past. Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system, a network of organs and vessels in the body that helps people fight off infectious disease.

Wagle said she felt a need to announce her illness to the Senate and her constituents so they would know why she would not be as accessible as usual for the next few months.

She said she plans to continue to campaign for re-election but will have to curtail personal appearances. The treatment she?s undergoing will temporarily lower her white blood-cell count, making her susceptible to contagious diseases that would ordinarily be fought off by her immune system.

She said she expects her appearance to change substantially due to weight and hair loss that accompany the treatments.

Wagle joked about that on the Senate floor, saying that she?d be able to do her hair in the morning as quickly as her bald male colleagues.

Wagle said she will wear wigs during her treatment and ?I may even use this as an opportunity to try life as a blonde or a redhead.

?I will not be depressed or whine about my bald head,? she said. ?Instead I will be glad that I don?t have to shave my legs. And, when I feel nauseated, I am not going to feel sorry for myself. Instead, I?m going to think of a certain dress that was tight the last time I wore it, knowing the next time I wear it, it will be a perfect fit.?

In an interview following her Senate speech, Wagle was upbeat.

She said she draws inspiration from her 21-year-old son Paul, who underwent aggressive treatment for acute lymphocytic leukemia, a form of blood cancer, when he was 10 and 13.

?Hey, you know what, it?s temporary,? Wagle said of her treatment. ?My son, his first chemotherapy regimen was two years long. This is like four months, done in September, so this is nothing like what pediatric cancer patients go through.?

Although she has remained a senator throughout her cancer battles, Wagle passed up a chance to become Senate president in 2004 to tend to her son?s illness.

She has battled her own non-Hodgkins lymphoma, which doctors initially told her would be incurable, since 1996.

That cancer went into remission, and therapy with new drugs has kept the disease in check, Wagle said.

The non-Hodgkins lymphoma she is fighting now is a different cell type than her previous cancer and she said her doctor is confident that it is a curable variety.

Colleagues from both sides of the political divide wished Wagle well in her current fight with cancer.

Chemotherapy ?is very hard on your body,? said Rep. Gail Finney, D-Wichita, who has undergone the treatment in a lengthy fight against the disease lupus. ?I certainly feel for her. I?ll be praying for her and supporting her.?

Finney has continued working as a legislator during her treatments and said she felt it helped her cope with the illness.

?It?s good for your mind to keep busy and keep working and actually trying to help others,? Finney said.

Sen. Dick Kelsey, R-Goddard, said Wagle?s announcement came as a surprise to most of the Senate.

?We?re certainly going to be praying for the restoration of her health,? Kelsey said. ?She fought this battle very bravely before and won, and I hope that happens again.?
