Job Description :	Our client is seeking a Senior Credit Manager to facilitate controlled and profitable growth through sound credit principles, oversight and management. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: In conjunction with the Head of Credit Risk, develop a centre of excellence for Credit Risk management. Operate with an approved underwriting mandate, minimising bad debts whilst maximising reward. Collate information for the Head of Credit to provide monthly health updates to the Board on Credit quality and flag emerging issues in good time. Develop, challenge and monitor Credit Risk Appetite statements for. Document and monitor Credit Policy. Identify and ensure proper authorisation of Credit Policy and Process exceptions. Manage Large Deal process to ensure papers clearly identify credit risks including production of the Large Credit Front sheets. Take Credit Committee minutes where required. Manage credit team in providing clear, consistent direction for underwriting and collection process. Provide on-going and necessary internal/ external support in training credit and sales staff. New business credit record keeping and Minutes thoroughly documented to ensure all conditions of pay-out are satisfied and monitored on going. Ensure facilities over ?1m are formally reviewed at least annually. PERSON SPECIFICATION: On the job experience of underwriting new business in a financial environment. A good decision maker. Understand macro-economic climate. Worked in financial sales to appreciate sales pressures. Understand products and risks associated e.g. Finance lease, operating lease, receivables funding sale and hp back/leaseback. Sound appreciation of security/ legal/ documentation implications. Have a good appreciation of predicted asset values and economic lives. We are keen to receive applications from candidates with proven relevant experience from the Leasing and Asset Finance industry only.
