As the Manager, Finance Training and Development, you will help design, develop and deliver technical finance trainings and resources for Stryker global finance and accounting staff. You will aid in building innovative training strategies that will be deployed via a blend of classroom training, virtual training and just-in-time, on-demand video training.
In the first 30 to 90 days, you will evaluate our current programs and help us execute on our goals for the year. This will include delivery of existing classroom and virtual training materials, partnering with subject matter experts (SME?s) to develop new training materials and the continued expansion of our HowTube video training and knowledge sharing platform. You will also establish a formal needs assessment process to identify and prioritize global finance training needs along with a formal quarterly content review process for the HowTube platform. In addition, you will manage our Kalamazoo based finance internship program, partnering closely with HR to recruit quality interns and then running the comprehensive summer program.
During this time you will build relationships with Internal Audit and key customers in the business. You will need to identify strategies that will allow us to creatively leverage our limited resources to increase our impact on the business and demonstrate the evidence of that impact through metrics and narratives of how our trainings have helped change behavior and improve business results.
Your unique skill set includes an understanding of financial concepts along with an ability to teach others in a manner that is simple and easy to understand. You are able to take a complex explanation from an SME, boil it down to its main points and develop an engaging and interactive way to deliver the learning. While you will develop some material yourself, you will spend more of your time directing the overall goals and outlines of training programs, then detail reviewing the scripts and visuals produced by the staff.
You are willing to try new things, you are on the cutting edge of technology and you embrace change. You have an enthusiasm and passion for training that is contagious. Your past experience in finance and accounting gives you credibility with the business and ensures the technical accuracy of our content. Your strategic vision will help shape the future of the Global Finance and Development function.
